TIRANA, March 11 – President Bujar Nishani convened Tuesday the National Security Council with the presence of the country’s top officials and parliamentarians. The president said the meeting had been called to discuss the preparation of the new security strategy document and the defense strategy document too.
Such a strategy is a general concept that covers everything needed to defend and protect the country, he said.
The president also said that he had made a change from the protocol of the meeting, inviting the leader of the opposition Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha. He explained that with the effort to make the preparation process more inclusive and fuller as it will have to cover the country for many years in
the future.
