TIRANA, Sep 25 – The American Bank of Albania celebrated Wednesday the 10th anniversary of its establishment, becoming one of the pioneers of the banking industry in Albania, as well as a leader in this young and competitive market.
In the year 1998, at a time when the banking system was coming out of a harsh economical crisis after the fall of the failed pyramid investment schemes, the American Bank of Albania became the bank to return the trust of the people in the Albanian banking system.
The American Bank of Albania counts about 130,000 customers and over 500 employees. As at August 2008, it had total deposits of 103.4 billion leks and total loans of 41.8 billion leks.
