TIRANA, Nov. 23 – Foreign visitors to Albania rose 25 percent in 2014, and it vaulted 40 places in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business ranks.
One resort director calls the country “the hidden jewel in Europe’s crown,” he report says.
Albania is trying hard to attract more foreign tourists and not just the ethnic brethren from neighboring countries.
The government started that with the cleaning of the seaside and other national roads in the country. It is now continuing the project with the destruction of all illegally built objects in those areas and also improving the signal system in the roads.
