TIRANA, Aug. 24 – Albania is being considered as one of the final ‘hotspots’ for tourism and property investment in continental Europe, according to reports from a series of media outlets and also tourist agencies.

Albania has often been overlooked, but with plans to join the European Union the country could quickly develop into an ideal real estate investment opportunity, according to holidaylettings.co.uk, the UK’s No.1 holiday home website.
Property company Barrasford and Bird are keen to emphasize the growing interest in the region, as well as the potential strong returns for those purchasing property in the country.
Robin Barrasford, managing director of Barrasford and Bird Worldwide, explained to Easier.com: “Albania is an amazing opportunity that I believe to be unrivalled in the overseas property market today.”
He added: “So excited are we by this new market that we confidently predict early investors will treble their money in three years.”
Increased investment is also helping to improve the country’s infrastructure with a recently opened new international airport and there are already plans to improve local road links to help boost rural access to the major city areas.
