TIRANA, Jan. 28 – The Albanian government has been focused on fighting informal transactions in the economy, according to Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Berisha further said eliminating the informal economy would be one of his government’s priorities this year.
Berisha also said ending the informal economy would be an important “welcome” to foreign investors in Albania.
“If informality is tolerated, the economy turns into a swamp,” Berisha said.
Zero-tolerance against corruption is another main goal which Berisha says goes hand in hand with the fight against the gray economy.
