TIRANA, Sep 2 – Albanian health Minister, Anila Godo, visited neighboring Kosova in an effort to strengthen the ties between both countries’ health ministries.
On Tuesday, Kosova and Albania signed an agreement to cooperate in implementing health reforms and both ministers also urged their governments to add funding for the health systems.
“We have similar problems in the health systems and this agreement seeks to merge our efforts and resolve the crisis,” said Alush Gashi, Kosovo’s minister of health.
Godo said the current poor conditions of the health system in both countries is partly due to lack of funds.
“We will cooperate on how to make the health system more efficient, we will exchange our experiences and commit to better management of health services,” she said.
