Albanian, Italian police strengthen ties

TIRANA, Sep. 11 – Albanian and Italian police hailed last week their cooperation now in the fight against organized crime and pledged to further strengthen ties in the future.
The news came during the visit that the Italian head of police, Antonio Manganelli, made in the Albanian capital last week.
When meeting Albanian top officials Manganelli hailed Albania’s cooperation in many joint operations.
He agreed with Albanian officials to raise the level of cooperation and also assist Albanian structures in the process of sequestering the properties of the criminals created with money laundry and illegal activities.
Manganelli also said that the Italian Interforze office in Tirana will serve as the center for the other ones in the region.
