Albania’s inflation reaches 3.7% in July

TIRANA, Sep 1 – According to data of the Albanian statistics office, the inflation rate in Albania in July reached 3.7% compared to 2.1% in the same period of last year.
The national consumption price index was 0.6% less compared to the previous month, Tirana’s office of the Italian Foreign Trade Institute (ICE) announced.
As regards the sector of foods and soft drinks, the index decreased by 1.6% representing an incidence equal to down 0.6% on the total variation in July.
The biggest reduction equal to a drop of 10.2% regards the vegetables, while for the fruits there was a decrease by 6.5%.
The index in the sector of clothing and footwear registered a decrease of 0.1%. A progress on the rise, equal to up 2.3% was verified in the oil sector.
The transport sector also registered an increase with 1.8%.
