Albtelecom supports children in need

TIRANA, Oct. 16 – ALBtelecom last week supported the Albanian Children’s Foundation, “Domenick Scaglione” for the establishment of National Centre of Children`s development with 30,000 Euro.
The money will serve as financial aids for the foundation and functioning of this centre.
Sevket Acar, ALBtelecom General Director, met with Liri Berisha, the President of Albanian Children Foundation (and spouse of Prime Minister Sali Berisha), and expressed to her the support for the aiding project to children in need.
This contribution for the children in need is part of ALBtelecom strategy for the Social Responsibility. “I am proud that ALBtelecom, as part of Calik Group supports this important project to aid the Albanian children. Our active statement in support of initiatives which help the solution of social problems, is basic part of our company principles”, said Acar.
He expressed the support for the foundation guided by Mrs. Berisha for being part of important projects like this. every child or other people in need are part of company’s social responsibility projects. While priority of support has children in need that everyday face with impossibility, poverty, health problems and other obvious risks.
Berisha said the new center will create modern conditions for the daily treatment of more than 100 children as well as the consideration and diagnostication of more than 1,000 children in a year. “I am grateful for this contribution given by your company to children in need. The health of children is a matter which touches all of us and for this reason any support for them is a precious contribution given to the society” she said.
The center will have the required environment for psychologist, logopedist, social employees, therapist to make individual and group therapies, as well as advices for parents. It is concepted as a scientific core where different Albanian specialists will have the possibility to make scientific researches in the field of autism and development of children through having at disposal clinical environments and library.
