KORCA, July 11 – Police arrested four persons in the southeastern city of Korca and have accused them of falsifying documents to help people make illegal border crossings.
The “Specialistet” codenamed operation resulted in the arrests of Artur Feto, 35, Relis Mulla, 26, Armand Cenolli, 21, and Setki Mulla, 56. Mulla and Cenolli worked for the Aleat company which produces biometric passports in the country, while Mulla was a professor at the “Fan.S.Noli” University there.
Prior to their arrest, the individuals had been receiving 5-7,000 Euros from clients who sought false biometric passports in order to escape their criminal convictions by traveling abroad.
The operation followed some three months of investigation.
