Berisha meets Albanian-American National Council officials

TIRANA, Nov 9 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha met with Executive Director of the Albanian-American National Council Avni Mustafaj, who was accompanied by David Scotton, a high-ranking adviser of the Council.
Berisha expressed his gratitude for the great help that this Council has provided to Albania and to Albanian issues, securing a continuous presence of the Albanian factor in the United States.
Berisha highlighted Albania’s major progress, emphasizing the increasing role of women in the political and social life.
Mustafaj praised the achievement of standards in the recent parliamentary elections and pointed to the necessity of the opposition’s presence in the parliament to prevent hampering Albania’s integration processes
