Drug traffickers stopped in Italy, Albania

TIRANA, April 5 – The Italian police in the city of Lecce confiscated a great amount of marijuana which was believed to have gone there from Albania.
Italian police seized 300 kilograms of marijuana packed in 15 bags. They also arrested a 33-year old Albanian allegedly taking them there with a five-meter speedboat. They are also investigating for other persons involved in the illegal traffic.
In the Albanian capital Tirana police arrested two persons, Sokratos Petraq Cari, 27, and Ledio Todhe Lito, 31, and accused them of illegal drug trafficking.. They were found with 20 grams of cocaine.
Also in Tirana police arrested Wednesday four persons and seized 40 kilograms of cannabis sativa.
