TIRANA, Feb. 28 – Finland is the latest donor to support the One UN Programme in Albania with a contribution of 300,000 Euro for the Coherence Fund, a non-earmarked, multi-year funding pool that enhances the efficiency of the United Nations in Albania by streamlining, simplifying and increasing the harmonization and predictability of resource flows.
The One UN Programme supports national priorities in five areas: more transparent and accountable governance; greater inclusive participation in public policy and decision-making; increased and more equitable access to quality basic services; regional development to reduce disparities; and environmentally sustainable development.
