KUKES, July 29 – Fires have broken out around the country as has become typical in summer time. Fortunately there have been no victims but many hectares of forests have been burnt.
In the latest one in northeastern Kukes, a fire covered 1.5 hectares of forests at the Koretnik Mountain, some 10 kilometers from Kukes.
Firefighters and local residents joined efforts to stop it.
Authorities could not give reasons or causes of the fire but they also said an investigation had started.
It has become normal that people light fires in forests in order to turn them into agricultural land.
