TIRANA, March 23 – Fiscal administration started a nationwide check of the fuel stations to see whether they respected the quality and all the standards in offering the fuel products.
Preliminary results showed that at least 27 fuel stations have been fined for lacking documentation or offering products not in the required standards.
Quality of fuel in the country has always been of concern for the normal consumers who often complain of low quality that have resulted in damaging their vehicles and also bringing about a concerning level of poor environment spoil.
Albanians want the authorities to make public the names of the fuel stations or the companies not offering good quality products. But the laws have prohibited them from doing so, authorities say.
The authorities in power since 18 months have pledged they will change the laws on that to make the public aware of such law violations.
