TIRANA, July 19 – Albanian Transport Minister Sokol Olldashi and German Ambassador Carola Mueller-Holtkemper signed an agreement Tuesday regarding waste management in the southeastern city of Korca.
Germany provided Albania with a grant of two million Euros to cover waste management until the city completes its landfill, expected to be ready by 2013, and to cover the neighboring Pogradec district too. The whole funding for the landfill is about 10 million Euros, according to the Minister.
Germany has targeted many of its funding projects in the southeastern area of Korca and Pogradec.
