TIRANA, Dec. 7 – A missing Italian teenager was found in Albania.
Mariagrazia Ruvolo was missing since Wednesday last week from her house in Terme Vigliatore.
Monday evening, she made a phone call to her family telling them she was given a place to stay by the Italian consul in the southwestern port city of Vlora.
The teenager had become friends on Facebook with a 41-year-old divorced Italian, named Fausto Vignolo from Chiavari.
After becoming friends on Facebook, he had convinced the teenager to go away in a country no one would recognize them.
It was not known how she contacted the Italian consulate in Vlora, where she is now staying with some Catholic nuns living there.
The Italian man was called in by police and then set free. He is accused of deceit through computer crimes.
