TIRANA, July 6 – The opposition Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, also the mayor of Tirana, headed a team from his political party during a visit to Rome last week. The Socialist party is traveling Europe in an effort to develop international expertise and also gather support for their political program as they seek to return to power in next year’s general elections. During their visit to Italy, the Socialist party delegation met with former Italian premiers Giuliano Amato and Massimo D’Alema as well as a group of Italian political experts. (Tirana Times Staff)
