TIRANA, March 6 – Dozens of wood processing companies from Albania and the region are displaying their products in a furniture fair in Tirana targeting promotion and the possibility of presenting and embracing the innovative technology of the industry.
Government says some 1,900 enterprises operate in the wood manufacturing industry in Albania, with 60 percent of them medium-sized.
“The wood manufacturing industry is a great potential for the country and we are determined to establish the legal framework and the best facilitation to enable their development and consolidation.” The Prime Minister said these businesses will benefit from the removal of the personal income tax for the first 30,000 lek of monthly wages and tax-free policies for three years hiring newly graduates.
The ninth edition of the Furniture fair taking place at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana will take place from March 13 to 16.
