Tirana to introduce recycling bins

TIRANA, Feb. 4 – The Tirana city hall said it is cooperating with the World Bank to start a project on a different rubbish collection system in the city.
The municipality says it will try to impose gradually a different mentality on residents, separating different forms of rubbish for recycling,
The city hall said they will select a concessionary company this year that will apply the new concept.
Rubbish disposal has always been a problem for the capital, which has increased in its population and also the businesses.
The town hall officials said that the people will have to throw their rubbish in different baskets, divided in the kind they are.
That will also be processed by different companies involved in the project, the same as all big western cities do now.
