Albania’s Q2 retail sales go up 28.3 percent y/y

TIRANA, Sept. 5 – Albania’s annual retail sales index rose by 28.3 percent in the second quarter this year according to the National Statistics Institute (INSTAT). The retail sales index in Albania includes various subindices that measure the volume and value of sales of food, drinks and tobacco products; household equipment; pharmaceutical and cosmetic products; clothing, footwear and leather products; books, newspapers and stationery. Another measures sales and repairs of motor vehicles. The figures include also data for the employment in retail sales and in the sales and repairs of motor vehicles sectors.
