TIRANA, Feb. 1 – The constructors’ association convened last week, after which they noted that last year was very difficult for their industry due to the many bureaucratic, legal and administrative obstacles created by public authorities.
The constructors said that lack of promised money from public funding, and the blocking of work by regulatory authorities, adversely affected their work.
However, constructors were very optimistic about increased public investment in infrastructure and urged the government to establish a serious collaboration with construction companies.
Constructors asked that they become part of the decision-making process on public projects and open debates be encouraged to discuss the problems in the construction industry.
