Albania, Kosovo sign 3-year cultural deal

TIRANA, May 7 – Albania and Kosovo have signed a three-year cultural agreement further strengthening current cooperation in the promotion of common values in arts and cultural heritage. The agreement was signed by Albanian Culture and Tourism Minister Ferdinand Xhaferaj and his visiting Kosovo counterpart Lutfi Haziri.
The 2010-2012 cultural agreement includes cooperation and joint activities in the fields of cultural heritage, culture, cinematography, youth policies and sports.
The agreement follows a previous deal that the Albanian Culture Ministry had signed with UN Mission in Kosovo back in August 2002.
Under the new agreement, both Albania and Kosovo will exchange experience and hold joint festivals, competitions, exhibitions and other activities.
