TIRANA, Feb 2 – Albania has lifted the visa regime for citizens of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, according to Albanian ambassador to Kuwait Kujtim Morina.
Kuwaiti citizens can now travel to Albania visa-free with their regular passports and can stay for up to 90 days within a period of six months.
This decision came following an official visit of the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to Kuwait last November, which marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Albanian authorities hope citizens of Kuwaiti and UAE — two of the wealthiest countries in the Middle East — will find in Albania a good tourist destination with a 400 kilometer coastline and also may find interesting alternatives for investment in the small Adriatic republic.
