TIRANA, Oct 20bout 70 Chinese investors will participate in an economic forum that is to be held on October 30. The investors will get to learn about the Albanian market and the investment opportunities in the country. The news was made known by the head of Chambers’ Union of Commerce and Industry, Ilir Zhilla, who stated the forum will serve to increase ties with foreign investors and will open the door to technological exchanges among the interested parties.
“From the contacts we have had, a considerable number of Chinese businessmen have expressed their interest to invest in the real market,” Zhilla said for the media.
The Chinese investors will present various economic sectors such as steel industry, mining, road infrastructure, industrial infrastructure, telecommunications, aeronautics, and energy.
The economic forum, organized by the Investment Agency and the Ministry of Economy, will hope to expose interested investors to investment opportunities in the country.
“It has been the insistence of the Chinese investors to have this economic forum. The fast pace of economic growth in China has pushed Chinese businesses to expand in the foreign markets,” Zhilla said.
Albania has intensified its trade relations with China, where Chinese imports remain predominant.
