Flights between Riyadh – Tirana to begin in May after signing of agreement

TIRANA, Jan. 1 – The head of Civil Aviation Krislen Keri announced the signing of a deal on establishing direct flights between Tirana and the Saudi capital, Riyadh,  three times per week. Through this deal, direct flights between Tirana and Riyadh will begin from May 19, 2020. Keri wrote that this will be a great opportunity to boost tourism and for the communities of both states living or working between the two countries.

“We have received great news from Riyadh. We just approved flight traffic rights with FLYNAS, three times a week between the capital Riyadh and Tirana, starting May 19, 2020. These flights will be made possible for the first time thanks to the cooperation between the two governments, where in April this year am agreement was signed by Minister Belinda Balluku and President of FLYNAS, Bander Almohanna ”, the head of the Civil Aviation added.

‘FLYNAS’ is a low-cost airline company based in Saudi Arabia and founded in 2007. In July, the company signed the second largest deal in the region with Airbus to receive 120 new aircrafts. In 2018 about 6.6 million passengers attended over 60,000 national and international flights with FLYNAS. The airline’s flight destinations include Austria, Turkey and Greece in Europe as well as all Middle Eastern countries and several  countries in the Far East.
