On the agenda for debate are peace and stability in the South-Eastern Europe, NATO integration and the new position of Albania and Croatia in the Western Balkans, impact of the crisis on South-Eastern Europe, the new and performing investment climate, and investment opportunities through privatization – top Albanian Government priorities to attract long-term investments.

Biggest LNG hub in Europe to be presented

Mr. Agim GjinaliCEO, ASG Power SA, Switzerland is scheduled to present the New European Gas & Power Hub Presentation of the “Seman Gas & Power Project” Thursday at the Crans Montana in Tirana. The forum stated that the “The “SemanGas” LNG Terminal in Albania – with a one million cubic meter storage capacity in liquid form – will be the biggest LNG hub in Europe.” Remarking about LNG, Crans Montana reports that the use of LNG and LCNG as a fuel for motor vehicles is coming to the fore at present in Europe, in this regard the Terminal was specifically designed to supply the European end-user LNG market through a capillary distribution by ship, truck and train. The regasification capacity of the terminal is up to 30 BCM/y and through two pipelines will have a direct access to the two fully-independent European gas markets. The harbour of the Terminal – capable of receiving, loading/unloading at the same time two Q-max vessels – will also load fresh potable water for the LNG supply countries. In short, “Seman Gas & Power” is the best integrated and cost-effective designed project in Europe. The first gas delivery is scheduled for the end of 2013
