Speaker gets Swiss support in economic reforms

TIRANA, Oct 2 – Parliament Speaker Jozefina Topalli made a visit to Switzerland to talk on bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
In her official visit, the first one of an Albanian speaker in Switzerland, Topalli met with her Swiss counterpart Andre Bugnon, President Pascal Couschpin and other top officials.
Representatives from both countries considered it a historic one setting new standards in the bilateral ties and also called diplomatic relations as excellent.
Both sides discussed on further strengthening the economic cooperation and trade exchange, especially cooperation in energy, infrastructure and tourism.
Kosova was another main topic. There are many Kosovars living in Switzerland, which has been among the first countries to recognize and independent Kosova earlier this year.
