“Fidelio” absolute success in Tirana

In the context of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Albania, on Wednesday evening, the Ballet and Opera Theatre produced the premiere performance of the one of the most representative operas of this theatre, Fidelio.” The performance was given standing ovations by the audience.
Put on stage by Michael Strum, under the baton of Paul Weigold, stage designer Matthias Engelmann, this opera was one of the most difficult works ever produced at the Opera and Ballet Theatre, but thanks to a most serious effort, it was produced on the stage of Tirana with the same proportions as it has been produced on many other stages of the world.
Polish tenor Michau Marzec played the lead male role of Florestan, in the role of Rocco was Wuadysuaw Podsiaduy. The Soprano Sonila Babo詠also performed and other well known Albanian opera singers, S. Beka, E. Zeraliu, E Gjyzeli, S, Bejleri, S.Koka, etc.
