Albania gets support from Qatar

TIRANA, April 15 – Prime Minister Edi Rama held a two-day visit to Qatar in an effort to attract Arab funding and investment to his country.
During the trip he was also accompanied by Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati, Economy Minister Arben Ahmetaj, Transport Minister Edmond Haxhinasto and Tourism Minister Eglantina Gjermeni, including some parliamentarians and heads of local authorities.
The Albanian delegation met with host Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and other senior Qatari officials.
The two countries also signed two memoranda of understanding on health cooperation and on Albanian workers.
The talks focused in promoting commercial exchange and investment from the Arab country. They spoke on different projects in energy, tourism and agriculture.
Qatar expressed its wish to welcome more Albanian workers.
