New campaign targets fighting tax evasion among artists

TIRANA, Jan. 30 – Spared by a tough nationwide campaign against informality a couple of years ago, the Socialist Party-led government has now turned to artists and the creative industry to discipline alleged massive tax evasion especially among popular names. The tax administration has called on music, visual arts, publicity and audio visual producers to register with tax authorities who will provide them with tax identification numbers, the same as all other businesses do.
