TIRANA, Oct.19 – Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumer protection would hold a two-day meeting of agriculture minister from central and southeast European countries in the western port city of Durres. Albania holds the presidency of the Central European initiative this year. The meeting will discuss several challenges related to the region’s integration process. It will debate on European standards for food products, the expansion of export markets between participant countries and the protection of bio agricultural products. Agriculture and agro-industry is expected to be heavily influenced by the European integration process.
