Armed Forces have a new Chief of Staff

TIRANA, Aug 8؂rigade General Xhemal Gjunkshi was officially sworn in on Monday as the new Chief of Staff of Albania’s Armed Forces. The ceremony was held in the premises of the President’s Office in the presence of the Albanian President Bamir Topi.
Gjunkshi’s election was proposed by Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Gjunkshi replaces in office the former Chief of Staff Brigade General Maksim Malaj, whose term in office was officially over, local media reported on Monday.
