Red and Blacks Italian coach says it would be ‘an honor’ to become Albanian since he is ‘married to Albanian team’

TIRANA, Jan. 19 – Albania’s national football team coach, Italian Gianni De Biazi, has said that he would consider it an honor to become an Albanian and he was actively seeking citizenship.

He jokingly told an Albanian sports newspaper he qualifies because he is married to an Albanian — the national team he has been training for the last three years.

“Let’s say it was an experience that I wanted to do. At first I was unsure what to do, but then I took on this new ‘adventure’ with a great enthusiasm,” he said.

“We must stand with feet on the ground, doing otherwise can be dangerous. But if we (players and fans) will focus on a positive result, we can achieve it. The victory may be the force of will.”

Albania stands third in the Group I Euro 2016 championship with 4 points in four matches.
