Higher yields for 3-month t-bills

TIRANA, Oct. 3 – The central Bank of Albania announced Tuesday that the yields rose for the three-month treasury bills in the auction. The BoA sold 3.7 billion leks ($38.3 million/30 million euro) of three-month government paper out of an initial offer of 4.3 billion leks. Dealers placed bids only for 3.9 billion leks worth of government securities. The T-bills yielded an average 6.10 percent, up from 5.97 percent in the previous auction held last week. The BoA auctions lek-denominated three-month T-bills on Tuesday, and six- and 12-month T-bills twice a month, also on Tuesdays. Since the beginning of this year the BoA has auctioned 337.58 billion leks of t-bills. Last year it auctioned 465.2 billion leks of government securities.
