TIRANA, Oct. 8 – The business association Konfindustria has made public its requests made to the government on the new, or next year’s fiscal package it has been prepared. Konfindustria said that it has carefully prepared and backs the requests and was open to dialogue or debate with the government institutions. The association said that they had made a good mixture and intertwining of the fiscal, economic and commercial policies which have lacked until now. Konfindustria said it could not accept that the country’s economic polices were reduced only to the fiscal policy not reflected in the real economy, employment, well-being, lowering the commercial and current deficit. The association also criticized the institutional incapability to manage the proper schemes of supporting the domestic industrial production, services and agriculture. It also accused the government for the recent steps like re-establishing the VAT tax for machinery and equipment; increase by 13 times of the excise for the fuel, etc… It said that signing the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union made it obligatory that the domestic cost of production was reduced so that it could cope the competition with other markets. “We should acknowledge that despite the will from the prime minister and the government we are still far from the creation of an economy that may stand and increase in the situation of open fight for markets,” said a statement.
